Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub, $51 for 170ml

A new addition to Aesop’s Geranium Leaf body care range, this body scrub contains two grades of milled Pumice and micronised Bamboo Stem to provide ideal exfoliation. It also contains Geranium Leaf oil to smooth and calm your skin along with Mandarin and Bergamot oils to purify and disinfect.

Rating: 4/5

This body scrub leaves skin feeling refreshed and smells really good which is a great mood lifter. Initially, it smells like a faint hint of a rose but progresses into a crisp and fresh natural scent with mixtures of what smells like lemongrass, barley and leaves.

The gel-like texture of the Aesop Geranium Leaf body scrub incorporates small beads of Pumice and micronised Bamboo Stem which act as the abrasive agents. These scrubbing beads are smooth, unlike other scrubs which are usually coarse and may cause discomfort or even minor cuts when you use them.

When it comes in contact with water, the mixture does emulsify but the exfoliating agents of Pumice and Bamboo Stem do not melt away. Personally, it feels like a body wash and an exfoliant all in one. It’s soft on the skin and is ideal for a weekly deep-cleansing treatment. If you wax or shave, use this after to help prevent ingrown hairs.

After rinsing off, skin doesn’t feel dry or tense but you should still moisturise after. After all, the stimulation from the exfoliation has prepped skin for hydration and better absorption of your lotions.
