WHAT: The Chanel Le Blanc Light Revealing Whitening Makeup Base SPF 35 / PA +++ ($81) is an under makeup product said to even out your skin tone, add a subtle luminosity that brightens up any dullness and cancel out any yellowness in your complexion.

According to Chanel Beauty, the whitening active ingredients of licorice extract and the pearl protein extract minimise melanin production and corrects dull skin with moisturisation respectively.

Chanel’s Le Blanc Light Revealing Whitening Makeup Base comes in three shades ‒ Rosée to refresh greyish skin; Mimosa to unify uneven and “shadowy” complexions and Lys to add a “pearly” glow ‒ and is used under the Le Blanc Foundation.

Chanel Le Blanc Light Revealing Whitening Makeup Base SPF 35 / PA +++ costs $81 is available at the Chanel Fragrance and Beauty Boutiques and all Chanel Beauty Counters.

THE REVIEW: Chanel’s Le Blanc Light Revealing Whitening Makeup Base SPF 35 / PA +++ ($81) is an outstanding product for creating a truly luminous platform for the rest of your makeup.

Used in conjunction with Chanel’s Le Blanc Light Mastering Whitening Compact Foundation or the Le Blanc Light Mastering Whitening Fluid Foundation you get a perfectly smooth, yet also bright, foundation for your skin.

You can also use the Le Blanc Light Revealing Whitening Makeup Base under any of Chanel’s other foundations and it works just as well – it is remarkably good for photographs, lightening imperfections and shadows without creating unflattering “flash backs” from camera flashes.

This is perhaps the only makeup base I’ve used that people have actually remarked on; I’ve been told my skin looks “lighter”, “fresher” and that I look “less tired”. The days I don’t use it I was told the opposite.

If you’re looking for a fast fix for dull, tired or greyish looking skin, you have to get your hands on this base; it’s absolutely worth it.
