“My first thought when I laid eyes on the La Prairie Cellular Power Infusion was that it looks like a sophisticated test tube right out of a scientific laboratory. It was intriguing.

Plus, it came in a very plush white leather box that contains all four bottles.

Then, I realised the ingredients in the bottles had to be  “activated” which made me even more curious to find out just how to use it, unlike your usual run-of-the-mill moisturisers.

I found out that it’s a two-part glass bottle where the active ingredients are kept separate for freshness. Before use, simply turn the silver base of the bottle until you hear a click that triggers the activation.

The blue concentrate, which is the Exclusive Skin Renewal Peptide, is injected into the clear serum and the mixture ends up a lovely lilac hue.

The infusion only stays active for 7-10 days, and I like that in a way, it forces me to be disciplined with my regime, knowing that if I were to miss a single day, the results will not be the same.

I used two pipettes (the pipettes are incorporated as part of the bottle, so you won’t contaminate the rest of the infusion) dutifully every morning and night after toning my face.

The infusion was a lightweight gel-like serum that is absorbed readily into the skin in an instant. It feels moisturising to the touch and it seemed to calm the skin when applied, especially on sensitive or blemished areas.

By day three, I could see a marked difference in the texture of my skin. The skin’s surface was smoother overall. And by day five, I could feel the increased firmness on my skin.

At the end of day seven, my skin felt like it was given a breath of fresh air, it felt rejuvenated, firm and more supple than it did before I started using it.

The Singaporean in me was also stoked when I realised that I had some left over which I could use for a couple more days.
