REVIEW: I’m a mad mascara fiend and am always looking for another brand to replace my tried and tested favourite; just in case there’s something better out there.

Having previously used different Lancôme mascaras – and been perfectly happy until I discovered my current fav – I expected the new Lancôme Hypnôse Precious Cells Magnified Volume Cream Mascara to be good.

And it is. This mascara is relatively easy to use, not too difficult to remove – although considering the one I tried isn’t the waterproof version, it could have come off a little easier – and generally does perform in the “denser and fuller” arena.

While I’m not entirely sure that my lashes are now “stronger”, the Lancôme Hypnôse Precious Cells Magnified Volume Cream Mascara does generally deliver on its other promises.

However, it doesn’t quite give me the fullness that I get from my current favourite – there are no “fibres” in this formula to add additional “hairs” to your lashes – and it does get a little clumpy if you don’t wait long enough to apply a second or third coat.

The brush is a little bendy, it’s flexible enough to get into the corners of the eyes for those very small, hard-to-get-at lashes, which is quite useful.

Still, for a good daytime mascara with the benefits of medium fullness, the Lancôme Hypnôse Precious Cells Magnified Volume Cream Mascara is not a bad buy. And if prolonged use makes your eyelashes stronger, all the better.
