Jon Bon Jovi has been announced as the face of two new Avon scents for men and women called Unplugged.

The rocker is the latest big male name to land a fragrance campaign, following on from the announcement back in May that Brad Pitt had been chosen as the latest face of Chanel's iconic women's perfume No. 5.

Avon's Unplugged for Her has been described as a floral oriental fragrance and will be available as of October 2012. Meanwhile, Unplugged for Him is a woody floral musk scent that will go on sale the following month.

Bon Jovi, who is Chairman of The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which helps people in economic despair, was attracted to Avon due to its charitable efforts via the Avon Foundation for Women.

"Avon, and the Avon Foundation for Women, have given support and a voice to those in need for decades," explained the musician.

"Their philosophy of empowerment sends a strong message and I'm pleased to partner with them."
