Givenchy has unveiled the recording of actress Liv Tyler singing her own rendition of INXS's "Need You Tonight" ahead of the launch of new fragrance Very Irrésistible Givenchy Electric Rose.

The track, which can be heard at www.youtu.be/NyGsuE-PKGM, reveals Tyler's modern take on the 1987 hit by Australian rock band INXS. The accompanying music video will be unleashed prior to the release of Electric Rose -- due to reach stores this April.

As well as representing beauty brands including Pantene haircare, Tyler -- whose father is Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler -- has modeled for Givenchy since 2003.

It was announced back in December that she would be the voice of the French brand's latest scent, collaborating with Sony Music Entertainment on "an electrifying meeting between the world of rock and the universe of perfume."

New York-based musician David Andrew Sitek, who has collaborated with indie bands including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars and Foals, produced the record.

The venture follows French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis singing a reinterpretation of 1960s hit "Daydream" by The Lovin' Spoonful in the commercial for Chanel's lipstick Rouge Coco in 2010. Watch it here: www.youtu.be/lzoH111HbJM. --AFP RELAXNEWS
