Go wild with this season’s hottest beauty trend - peacock eyes.

Bring out deep browns, sparkling blues and exotic greens by blending bright hues around your eyes.

The look was seen all over the runway with Zac Posen, Peter Pilotto and Thakoon all dismissing the traditional smoky eye for something more unusual.

To get the look start by applying an all over metallic gold base to the lid and brow bone. Then blend a light blue in the inner corner of the eye and work out to the side with deeper emeralds and azures.

Complete the look with plenty of mascara on upper and lower lashes to frame the eyes.

Maybelline UK make-up director Sharon Dowsett warns that the look can take a few attempts, but don’t be afraid to test out different shades to see what works for you.

“This makeup look is incomparable to a simple flick of black eyeliner or swipe of lippy,” Sharon explained to Grazia. “Because you are working with several different shades, it requires a level of experimentation and practice to establish where to place colour to flatter your bone structure and give maximum impact.”
