- HWP PRESENTS
Every Summer, art meets beauty with Shu Uemura launching a special artist collaboration collection. Last year, the beauty brand teamed up with modern kimono artist Mamechiyo to dress Shu Uemura’s iconic products.
This year, Shu Uemura has chosen up-and-coming Japanese contemporary artist, Ob, to design their limited edition makeup collection. The 21 year old artist who has had her works exhibited at several venues abroad was chosen to join the Kaikai Kiki artist collective last year after having her talent recognised by artist Takashi Murakami, the founder of Kaikai Kiki Co. Ltd.
The Ob for Shu Uemura makeup Sakura collection sees a dreamy and magical line-up with the theme revolving around four fairy princesses – Cherry Blossom princess, Moon princess, Forest princess and Ocean princess.
“To me, reality lies in the world of ambiguity. In between the innocent, beautiful dream world and the physical world. That is what I want to express in my collection,” explains Ob.
With prices starting from $14 for a Shu Uemura Custom Case Duo, you’ll be able to take home a piece of this enchanting collection with you.
The Ob for Shu Uemura makeup Sakura collection will be available in Singapore from all Shu Uemura counters from April 1, 2013. See the full collection in the gallery below.
