Karl Lagerfeld has “three personalities” which represent his various design projects.

The legendary fashion creative surprises himself by being able to keep brands Fendi, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld so distinctive because they all reflect his character.

Surprisingly, the high fashion master doesn’t think there is much of a personality behind his iconic image.

"[The brands are] a reflection of me as a person and the others are more like an interpretation of a style. It's never mixed. Fendi never looks like Chanel, Chanel never looks like Karl Lagerfeld. I don't know how I've managed it. I think I have no personality but in fact I have three," he told British newspaper The Independent.

"You see a silhouette. There's nothing else to see. I remember a photographer saying to me, 'I have to spend three days with you to know what's behind the image'. I said, 'You're wasting your time; there's nothing there.’"

Lagerfeld also revealed more fascinating details on the glamorous life of his pet cat Choupette.

The feline has become one of the world’s most intriguing star animals since it was revealed that she has three maids looking after her and likes to play with an iPad.

"Now, Choupette really is famous. She has become the most famous cat in the world. I even get propositioned by pet food companies and things like that but it's out of the question. I'm commercial. She's not. She's spoiled to death. Obviously," he said.

According to Lagerfeld, his cat Choupette "loves looking at the sky" from the cockpit, when she's travelling to St Tropez on his private jet.

His cat also goes for a health check every ten days but "I (Lagerfeld) don't take her. I don't want her to be furious with me. Choupette waits for me at the front door. She doesn't like being alone. She gets moody."
