Designed by the talented students of Pathlight School with special needs - namely autism -, the collection boasts of unique and insightful artwork that features Timberland's signature product (the Classic Boat Shoe) as a consistent motif across all the designs.

The challenge presented itself to the students of Pathlight as 'The Artistic Development Programme'. Through the programme, only the top designs will be shortlisted for the collaboration. The project brief was to create fresh designs of the classic Timberland boat shoe viewed through the students' distinctively diverse lenses, thereby encouraging the young talents to unmask their hidden artistic potential

The two emerging artists whose artworks were scrupulously curated are Joshua Chong and Grace Ong. The visually stimulating repetition of boot soles and use of candy-like colours is the brainchild of Grace, while a detailed rendering of a monster modelled after Godzilla materialises as the effort and creative endeavor of fellow student Joshua.

Timberland will contribute full nett proceeds for every Timberland x The Art Faculty by Pathlight product sold to the Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) - Pathlight School’s parent charity. Done in an effort to support and nurture talents within the autism community, the altruistic nature of this collaboration deserves a standing ovation (and some of our hard earned dollars too).

Timberland x The Art Faculty by Pathlight, $29 - $39. Available now at Timberland Raffles City, Vivocity, 313@somerset, Bugis+, Takashimaya and Westgate.
