- HWP PRESENTS
Most of us are clued up about how to jazz up an old outfit with a statement piece of jewellery. To bring this trend up to date this season, try swapping a bold necklace or some diamond encrusted earrings for a patch of PVC.
Shine is a big deal this Fall/Winter with the emphasis on reflecting the light rather than catching it. If you think 'plastic fantastic' you can't go far wrong. Try injecting your look with some super-shiny additions in the shape of snazzy rubber rainwear, patent patchwork pants or a glossy and shimmering shirt.
The slickest way to style this trend is to go for PVC's respectable older sister, patent leather. The material can be worked into your wardrobe via items which give a subtle nod to the trend on seams or detailed collars and cuffs.
Designers who have embraced this trend include Thakoon, Jil Sander, Marni, Acne, Tommy Hilfiger, and Preen. If you want full marks from the fashion world look for a square printed top displaying super-shine panelling interwoven with other fabrics. This is also the safest option if you aren't sure about trying the look for the first time. - COVER MEDIA
