Browse rare and indie magazines at two-week exhibition
The U Cafe will be at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station this AugustWe love reading mainstream magazines for its juicy reads but the quirkiest, most interesting reads can be found in independent publications too.
For those who want to step off the beaten path and venture into indie publishing, make sure to attend The U Cafe Exhibiton at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station from Aug 1 to 12.

With the first instalment in 2011, readers and coffee lovers were treated to a special menu concocted by eight local cafes and browsed 30 international award-winning magazines.
This year’s selection will include Germany’s I love you and Canada’s Inventory Magazine.
The event, the brainchild of Underscore Magazine, a quarterly publication which “is attuned to a simple rhythm” sees the participation of The Plain, which has come up with three new sandwiches, a new signature coffee, “old-school” local coffees and espresso-based coffees, while visitors can look forward to lamb cutlets, lamb sausages, and yuzu soda at night.
And while you’re there, check out the cool new Hermes Gift of Time Exhibition which is a trippy collection of seven rooms, taking you on a journey through the Hermes world.
The U Cafe will be at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station from Aug 1 to 12, 11am - 9pm. Log on to www.underscoremagazine.com/theucafe and www.facebook.com/events/318325914927830 for more info.
