There’s nothing I like better than to sit in front of MTV on a lazy day and just watch video after video after video.

Yes, those were the days when MTV used to have only hours of great music and none of that trashy but oh-so-addictive reality tv shows that now seems to dominate the airwaves.

But whatever the case, one thing’s still undeniable, that music videos are the coolest things since sliced bread. I’ve lost count of the number of times that I found myself falling in love with the song after watching the music video, which usually is so awesome it keeps you glued to the screen and on constant replay (on youtube, that is)

So in light of that, here are the coolest music videos contributed by the all of us at herworldPLUS.

1)      Ok Go – This Too Shall Pass (Rube Goldberg Machine version)
Rube Goldberg machine anything is always fascinating, mind-blowing and just so replay-able. Besides from wondering how they did all this to just marvelling at it all, this is one video you can’t not see.  

2)      Fatboy Slim – Weapon of Choice
Christopher Walken, yes he of the Pulp Fiction and Catch Me If You Can fame, dances up a storm in this video with the impossibly catchy song you won’t be able to get out of your head. Christopher Walken dancing nimbly; how is anything cooler than this?

3)      Blur – Coffee & TV
In this video, a blue-and-white milk carton is given a face and spindly arms. Throughout the video, his expression ranges from being overjoyed to down-trodden and fear based on the situations and other people (and milk carton) he meets. You can’t help but feel something for this tiny milk carton and that truly makes this out of this world.

4)      The xx – Islands
You might think you’re suffering a repeat of Groundhog Day when you see this, but look closer and you’ll realise that with each repetition (and there are a lot), each dancer adds on some more steps to their routine. Some viewers might find this slightly dizzying, but what good and super cool video doesn’t?

5)      Robyn – Killing Me
A real-life 3D music video. On your computer screen, and which you'll need your 3D glasses for. Admittedly, this is one that spits squares, shapes and words in your face along with the thumping bass, but whatever the case, this is definitely THE video to beat on the cool meter. 6) Sour - Hibi no neiro
You'll be amazed at how all these fans from all over the world managed to collectively "make" this video, considering everything was done via webcam. What is most fascinating is really how these people seem to be in the same place at the same time, just not really. Or are they?
