Enjoy live performances at Pink Dot 2012
The annual event at Hong Lim Park promises to entertain with local comedians and musical actsHong Lim Park will turn pink this Saturday as Singaporeans come out to support Pink Dot 2012.

We’re looking forward to live performances by some of the country’s funniest comedians -- Kumar, whose honesty and flamboyance never fails to to liven the mood; Dim Sum Dolly Pam Oei; and Ivan Heng, who will first be strutting his stuff from Wheelock Place to Shaw Building from 5.30pm as his character Zaza in the new musical extravanganza La Cage Aux Folles before stopping at the park.

Other than brilliant comedy routines, musical acts like T’Ang Quartet, acoustic duo Jack and Rai (who’re pretty funny themselves), and indie band King Kong Jane will take to the stage for a rocking good time. Former actress Sharon Au will also make an appearance as ambassador of Pink Dot.

Don’t forget to wear a dash of pink to form the pink dot at sunset, flashing your mobile phones or light sticks as a glittering show of support. Then settle down for a picnic under the stars, the first-ever for the annual event, with fellow Pink Dot-ers.
Pink Dot 2012 is on June 30 at Hong Lim Park at 6pm. Admission is free. Performances start at 6.30pm. Log on to http://pinkdot.sg/ for more.
