The Wedding Dress: 200 Years of Wedding Fashion from the Victoria and Albert Museum
The National Museum of Singapore presents an elegant collection of wedding dresses from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Spanning the early 1800s to the present day, the exhibition tells the history of the dress and its enduring popularity through fascinating accounts about the lives of the wears, their fashion choices and the economic and social conditions of the time.
Be mesmerized by wedding gowns from renowned designers such as Charles Frederick Worth, John Galliano, Vera Wang and Vivienne Westwood, which will be displayed alongside celebrated personalities Gwen Stefani, Dita Von Teese, and the late Princess Diana. Complementing this exhibition will be a display of Western and traditional wedding costumes worn by Singapore women of different ethnic groups.
