Support emerging artists from across 30 countries, at the Prudential Eye Awards exhibition – a platform for young contemporary artists to showcase their artistic talent. View the works of these young emerging artists, and winners in the five categories of Photography, Painting, Sculpture, Installation and Digital/Video.

NIGHT OUT AT GILLMAN BARRACKS
Head down to Gillman Barracks for an artsy night out with the opening of new exhibitions, performances by various DJs and drinks to kick off Art Stage. If you love art, exhibitions and music, this event is definitely one you don't want to miss.

ALIWAL URBAN ART FESTIVAL
Groove to the tunes of funk, rock and hip hop at this one-night-only event at the Aliwal Arts Centre. Singapore Canadian rapper Masia One, funk, soul and latin group Fungkimunkees and more Singapore-based artistes will perform live for this party night, held in conjunction with the Singapore Art Week 2014. Artists Tang Ling Nah, Something Human, Malvina Tan and more will also be participating in live performance art on that same night.

LIFE’S A BEACH
Head down to Wave House Sentosa for exciting performances by DJ Inquisitive and Tinc, while dancing the night away and being entertained by fire dancers, stilt walkers and more. It’s the weekend after you, you deserve the fun and entertainment after a long week of work.

7TH INTERNATIONAL LION DANCE COMPETITION
Watch as 12 lion dance troupes from 10 countries pit their skills against one another in a concerto of clashing cymbals and gongs. The two-day tournament and exhibition will showcase vivid Kung Fu moves and other forms of integrated martial arts, all synchronised to the sound of rhythmic drum beats.

“DREAM OF THE RED CHAMBER” CHINESE NEW YEAR ARTISAN FAIR
Usher in Chinese New Year with a splash of red at the first-ever "Dream of the Red Chamber" artisan fair. Meet ceramicists Michelle Lim and Ng Seok Har who left their full-time jobs to set up a pottery studio on Towner Road. They will debut lavish lo-hei platters at the fair. Other artisans displaying their wares include ornamental glass/year balls artist Cindy Loh and needleworker Winnie Lau. The Singapore-based charity RiverKids Project will also retail their "Intensity" range of silk carves and other accessories in aid of Cambodian street kids.
