Not only does he have a free pass to crack as many “Forever Young” puns as he likes (he’s a leap year baby), he’s one of the few, if not only, local talents who has managed to become a trending topic on Twitter not once, but twice! 

And because this strapping gentleman turns 32 – or eight, depending on how you look at it – today, we bring you everything you wanted to know about George Young.

HWP: Let’s start with the easy stuff. What do you do to relax?
GY: When I’m not working, I head out for drinks with friends or play on my Xbox 360. And because unlike in the UK, the weather here is sunny most of the time, which makes it great for swimming. Oh, and I like karaoke too.

HWP: Karaoke, huh? So what’s your favourite song to sing?
GY: Careless Whisper.

HWP: I’m sure all the ladies would like to know what your biggest turn-on is.
GY: Confidence and drive in a woman. I like to see a woman enjoying her job and being very passionate about her work.

HWP: So a deal-breaker would be...?
GY: If she’s arrogant and only wants to talk about herself. I know it might seem contradictory to what I just said, but there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. For instance, it would be nice to ask me about my day while you’re talking about yours, you know what I mean?

HWP: Here’s a fun one. What rumour would you love to see written about you?
GY: A love triangle, of course. Involving two very beautiful women.

HWP: Would you ever be open to doing a nude scene in the near future?
GY: If it was important to the plot, then yes.

HWP: ‘Fess up now. What’s the cheesiest pick-up line you’ve ever used?
GY: I was ordering a drink from a barmaid back in the UK when I paused mid-sentence and just stared at her for awhile before saying, “I’m sorry, I just got distracted by how beautiful you are.”

HWP: Nice. And did it work?
GY: Absolutely.
