Yes, it’s great to see hot male models strutting the catwalk in finely tailored suits, leather jackets and interesting sportswear, but nothing, absolutely nothing, can beat a fine looking man in his birthday suit – or as close as you can get in public and not be arrested.

Which is way one of the most hotly anticipated shows at this year’s Men’s Fashion Week had to be the Alexis Mabille Hom Underwear show.

While the designer also sent out pieces of his expertly tailored Autumn Winter 2012 collection of Olympic’s inspired “fencing” gear complete with quilted leather jackets, suits and pants with awesome over-the-knee leggings, it was the French brand’s underwear that had the crowd excited.

In a series of grey marle and monochrome prints, the boxers and briefs – some worn with fabulous linen button-up shirts with wonderful pleated peplums (a girl could easily wear one of these with a pair of jeans) thankfully unbuttoned – it was the bodies of the guys wearing them that got all the attention.

Including that of one of Singapore’s new crop of hot male models, Aaron Ng, 23, who was modelling for Men’s Fashion Week for the first time and walked a huge number of shows (stay tuned for another story on the new Singapore male models).
