Vintage clothing, handmade jewellery & more at flea market
After a trip to Public Garden’s flea market in June resulted in the discovery of many cool and quirky finds, we’re pretty excited for this week’s upcoming edition on August 18 and 19 at the MICA building, called Bras Basah.Bugis Arts Flea Market.
The flea market prides itself on being the “alternative to big box retail”, which is why you can expect plenty of goods you won’t find at shopping malls.
Vintage purveyors Be My Old School (they sell everything from traditional chinese medicine glass bottles to typewriters), Uyii which sells handmade bags, and dddots which offers cute individually crafted notebooks and accessories like a pocket-flap pin are just some of the 45 booths setting up shop.
And there’s lots in store for regular visitors to the flea market, as some new faces are making their first Public Garden appearance – By Invite Only, a local handmade jewellery label, Five Stones Vintage, with its collection of handpicked vintage clothes and accessories, and Make Room which retails a curated selection of homeware and furniture from brands like Madam Stoltz.
The Public Garden Bras Basah.Bugis Arts Flea Market is on August 18 and 19, from 1pm to 7pm at the MICA Building Level 1 Atrium. Log on to www.public-garden.com for more information.
