1 Have an open mind

Be open to impromptu moments. There's no mood killer like offering a new suggestion and getting it shot down without a second thought. Also, it doesn't have to be something drastic like booking a flight for a faraway destination for the next day. Little things matter. Like check out a random fair while you're taking a walk, packing up and heading right for the beach when you see the sun shining, or even just going for a drive and seeign where you end up. Going on a small adventure at the spur of the moment will break up the predictablitiy of your time spent together. 

 

#2 Be spontaneous with how you express your love

We all know the three words to say. But there are tons of other ways to show your partner that he or she is a priority in your life and that you're thinking of him or her. Stick a note on the mirror, show affection when you're out in public, cuddle when you're watching TV, or just send a text to say "I miss you" in the middle of a busy work day. 

 

#3 Physical intimacy

When it comes to sexy time, don't let it get into a predictable (read: boring) routine. Switch up the time - from that quickie in the shower before heading out to morning sex on a lazy Sunday. Explore a new position. Also, making love doesn't always have to take place in the bedroom. Get creative!

#4 Go for a surprise trip down memory lane

You know that place. The one that has a special place in both your hearts - where you first held hands or first kissed, or spent talking through the night. If you haven't been there in a while, take your spouse on a surprise trip down memory lane. And if you're the one behind the wheel, take a drive without revealing the destination. Along the way, offer clues to get him or her guessing. 

 

#5 Be like kids again

 Remember when we were kids and everything was new, exciting and something to explore? We tend to lose sight of that as we grow older. And we definitely laughed more than we do as an adult. Studies have proveb that laughter  reduces stress as well as cultivates stronger connections. Be like a kid again. Do something silly. Head to the amusement park. Get into a play fight. And you might just discover that the spark you thought was fizzling out is back and brighter than ever.
